In Progress
Once again, I've found myself drawn to this amazing handspun thick thin wool. This is a combination of a deep cedar and various shades of blues. I'm quite suprised at how soft it feels against my skin, its not itchy at all.

Stormiewhether is knit with 'Mercury' and its base colour is a charcol grey speckled with lumps of neutrals and beige. Sibling to Burned Blue and Bumpy Brown, it is perfect for a beautiful blue skied sunny winter day in the 'peg.
Wow, this stuff is gorgeous, the extra long burgandy (not hot pink like the picture) eyelash has a oatmeal coloured thick core. I'm taking my time with this one so I can admire it as it gets longer. Blushing Thicket is made with It's Kool by SRK.
I've had this handspun thick thin yarn for a few months now, I was just waiting for the right idea to come to mind, and here it is. Birds of a Feather....ta da!
I'm not sure if its the shakey hands or just the shadows the eyelash and ladder yarn casts on the wall, but I swear this isn't another one of my classic out of focus pics. La Dee Da was knit with an Italian Multi-Fizz eyelash and a Cherry Hill Ladder novelty yarn.
Lilac Lace almost never was, this is a combination of a soft kid mohair and a variegated ribbon yarn. I'll never be able to figure out how this gorgeous skien of ribbon yarn exploded into an insanely messy heap of knots. With help from A.M. for at least six hours combined, we were able to untangle it and get it into a ball to start knitting. However, it took me over a month to stop cursing everytime I saw it! No hard feelings LL.
If you squint your eyes, Chocolate Covered Cherries, doesn't look so blurry or just take a look at Raspberry Sundae. This is the replacement for RS that is still MIA, I have to accept that it is now gone forever. CCC is a combination of a dark brown mohair and one of my favourite yarns, Paton Divine.
Princely Perfection was knit with a Cherry Hill Cashcott novelty ribbon in Old Rose, and accented with a lilac Fizz eyelash. The colours range from a dusty blue, rose, pink and purples. Fun to knit, not fun when the needles slipped out of my hands. Aluminum needles NOT recommended, and they're pretty damn cold after you've been waiting outside for the bus. Brrrrrrrrr!
After weeks of hmmm-ing and haah-ing I finally took the plunge and ordered a whole whack of yarn from Turkey off of ebay. Hold the Mustard was reserved for V.M. the moment I tore the box open, okay the second time I tore the box open! Which in reality was only minutes after the first time.
Created for someone with alot of energy, Fun Fun Fun was a combination of a rainbow coloured eyelash and a Lion Brand Boucle in Parfait.
Knit with a soft plush mohair blend from Paton Divine with a delicate blend of a baby pink eyelash, Pink Pearl was a hit!
The rich colours of Grape Stained have been lost in this over exposed picture. A combination of deep wines, speckled with tiny bits of warm colour and highlighted with a chocolate brown eyelash, Grape Stained now resides in Regina Saskatchewan.
Looks good enough to eat! This is my first attempt at making something in the more pastel range, a double eyelash knit, Peach Sorbet...thats it!
This is another scarf that boardlines the six feet long range. Midnight Express was a little nerve racking for me to knit, it was one of the first six and custom made for someone with over 20 years knitting experience. She loved it! Phewwwwww!!!
What can I say about Colour Me Pretty, boy was this scarf gorgeous out in natural light. This picture doesn't do it justice. Knit with a jetblack eyelash and a wonderful rainbow multicoloured one.
Razzle Dazzle combines a minimum of six different yarns, ranging from mohair, to a lite wool blend with sequence along with a variety of ladder and ribbon yarn. I was obsessed with this scarf because every new row brought another great combination of colours, and I couldn't put it down while I knit it.
Slow Leak was a yarn kit I bought off of ebay, which inturn got me obsessed with looking at yarn on ebay for over 2 months...I can say I'm doing much better now, and only check about once a week. I have yet to find a long eyelash yarn as beautiful as this this italian royal blue, and the coordinating german wool with a blue base and speckled with browns only highlights the eyelash even more.
Okay, another pic where the colour needs to come from your imagination....now imagine HOT PINK! That is "A Funny Thing". Created with an eyelash yarn and Paton's Twister yarn.
As a special request, "long, skinny and pink", I came up with Pink Lemonade with Pulp. This combonation of three yarns, a local ice pink varegated eyelash, along with a soft slightly rose short eyelash from Turkey, and another wonderful shade of pink also from Turkey.
Lime Covered Kisses is a combination of teal multi coloured mohair and a purple, blue, and green 100% Viscose yarn. Its so cosy soft!
This is a combination of nine different yarns ranging from three different colours of eyelash, as well as wool, mohair, and ladder yarn.
Hello to all my friends and family.
Pikin' Pistachios has a good new home in Winnipeg, literally. It too has had a journey, from Turkey to Toronto, delivered in Ottawa and now in the 'peg.
I agree that this picture is rather blurry and if you've seen the actual scarf you know the colours are off, but its the only pic I've got! And I cannot show my scarves without showing the original. Note how I never start off with anything simple when I do things.
What can I say about Bumpy Brown, if it weren't for my very brown, very cosy, very wide first scarf...well okay, second to The Peacock...I never would have started my seasonal scarf business. Kudos to M.R.
The svelt version of "Bumpy Brown" both made from the Bernat - Galaxy collection....with fringe! (Neptune)
"Hikorie Stix" was just meant to travel with the material originating in Turkey, it travelled the Atlantic to Toronto, then was knit on a short trip on Via rail to Ottawa and back again....Travel well H.S.
"Raspberry Sundae" is currently MIA, somewhere floating around and hopefully at least keeping someone warm in Toronto. Seeing that I refuse to make two of the identical creations, sorry folks, its fraternal twin will arrive shortly. Hang tight Syb!
"Harvest Sunset" was created using a handspun and hand dyed thick and thin wool from California. The wool is a one of a kind dye lot.
