My Stash Connection!

Romni Wools at 658 Queen Street West, Toronto...6000 square feet of yarn bliss. If you knit and have some time to kill, check this place out. Be prepared to be overwhelmed.Arton Beads - one of my favourite places to get beads and findings, get there early cuz the space is small and gets crowded fast. The expanded to the shop next door, and sell fancier beads there...its just as packed!I like macFAB, they have just enough of everything. If you're looking for something fancy or specific there are alot of fabric stores along Queen Street W, but this is one of my favourites (mostly because you can actually move around in here and they're helpful).

Pretty Ribbons

This is Mokuba on Queen Street West, I was hoping to get some more ribbon for my stash, but they were closed due to a flood in the basement. I hope there wasn't too much stock down there!

Crochet and Knitted Softies

Today's stroll along Queen Street West took me to a children's store (I forgot the name) and they had these cute little softies in the window. There was also a painting the fascinated me, I wish I got a picture of it...it was of a pig diving into a lake, something about it was magical.

Guess I was good!

Sopranos DVD boxset Season 1 (to replace the VHS set I have) and Season 5 to complete my collection, Romni Wools gift certificates that I will spread out over the year ( I used one today!), 2 Lotto gift packs...I won $3 so far, another gift certificate for The Naked Sheep in the beaches, and to round it all off....a new pair of Sony earphones to block out the sound of my coworkers (except most of them know 1/2 the time I don't have any music on!) Now I can throw out my old pair that was being held together with many layers of duct tape - Red Green would be proud!

Boxing Day Sale

Romni Wool had thier Annual 25% off the entire store Boxing Day Sale today. Thanks to the sale and the gift certificates I got for Christmas, all this was a bargan....for me at least! I've been debating going back there or not, but I haven't found a place to put this lot in the apartment...so I'd better not!

Food for the Holidays

My contribution to the Christmas Eve Party was, arranging the veggies on the platter, stacking the mini quiche (etc), buying the stuff for the antipasto platter (I roasted the garlic), and platting the sandwiches. Those sandwiches are about the thickness of one slice of bread!

All in a row

This will be the end of the crafting before the holidays, besides the scarf I'm going to knit next week.
I've got to get wrapping, surprizingly I haven't even started on the second round.

Yes, I've been knitting

However, this is taking me forever. I just haven't found the time lately, and its become a little too cold to knit while I wait for the TTC. On a side note: we had our first real winter storm today and it took me almost 2 hours to get home...grrrrrr! or more like brrrrrrrrrrr!!!

The Evolution of Froggy

After seeing J3's Ode to Froggy, I decided I'd try to felt my first dog. I'll post the results once I'm finished, but I can't get the head right, and still have the legs to finish...and the body...okay, I'm not close to being done. See http://supremookie.blogspot.com/2005/12/once-upon-time-i-had-puppy-named.html

Sorry Aunt ROZANE!

For the past few days, I was thinking that I should be more on top of the birthday wishes to my relatives, how lazy can I be for not giving everyone a shout out, even if I'm a day or two late? Then for some unknown reason this morning I woke up envisioning the bday shout out my uncle gave to my Aunt Rozane on his blog. Card, new and old flash through my head....how many times have I written or introduced people (in english of course) to my Aunt RoXane. I can even picture myelf writing out this years Christmas card to them with the X. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone else write her name in english, I'm just so used to calling her "dee-uhm" (and yes I'm sure thats not the correct ping yin). Ummmmm....Happy Belated Birthday to Aunt ROZANE, and everyone else in the last couple of months.

Knot Sew Much

Between work and my personal life (stress and more stress), I haven't been doing much of anything lately. I'm pretty sure that I haven't done any other crafting or knitting since my last post...there may have been a flower or two, but I'm not motivated enough to check if I have a picture of it. I'm hoping to get back into it soon, just have to make it through the next couple of weeks. See yah.
