Practice Indeed

And I spent the rest of the week, fighting with yarn on the bus, and having people watch me curse under my breath at how my practice crochet was getting wider, and thinner. I love how crochetting just unravels so neatly.

The very next day

According to the introduction I got from my cousin's husband, apparently, I'm a Bonbonnieres. Note the kudo's I received for making the little gifts, on the back of the wedding program.

Congratulations!

Now that Tim and Jennifer are finally married, I can post the "give-away" item from their wedding reception.

This is one of the two vesions I created for them. I hope the bride and groom liked the bonbannieres!

Watch out for those bears on your honeymoon.

Fun, fun, FUN!

Its Just Fun
Originally uploaded by tsaiware.
Man, this yarn is awesome. Its still one of my favourites! Handspun thick'n Thin wool. Just so pretty to look at! The only problem is that as soon as I knit a few inches of it, I come up with an even better idea, and pull it all apart. This particular version is probably the sixth one.

Ah HA!

This is a detailed pic of Mint Julip, I don't know why I can't get this to photograph very well. Could it be my shakey hands or digital camera? I'll never know...I'll have to wait until I get more light in the apartment, and take a better one for you.

In the past year, I've tested out many knitting needles and found that these are my absolute favourite to work with. These Japanese bamboo needles (Clover:Takumi) are spectacular and my big sister won this auction off of ebay for me! She's so awesome! (So is my lil'sis!)

Recently, I was told that my Blythe head labels just don't cut it! So I have to re-number some boxes. I think I'm going to like these! I don't really need 12 but I like to be prepared.

More in the bowl

The previous post shows more of it, this one is about the yarn! I'm sure it will be featured in many of my future blogs, now that I've christened it as my Knitting Bowl.

Carnival Treats

Project 2
Originally uploaded by tsaiware.
I found this in my basket of yarn, under one of many stashes. I can't even remember when I started it, perhaps it was before the permanent heat and humidity set in for the summer. Carnival Treats will surface again, perhaps I'll finish it when the CNE is here.

In the bowl - no longer

In the bowl
Originally uploaded by tsaiware.
I started this yesterday, and it was looking pretty good. But half way through, it definately wasn't turning out how I was invisioning it...so I took it apart...started again, with a whole new idea...and took it apart again. Yeeesh, I like the combo, I'm sure you'll see it again in the future. It if however, officially out of my knitting bowl for now.
