More inspiration

the Naked Sheep

Here are some reasons why you should visit the Naked Sheep out in the Beach area of Toronto, its worth the trip. And its not as overwhelming as Romini Wools.

All ready to knit again!

Well actually, the CTS is still around, but I'm determined to just knit anyways. Here are the next few projects (hopefully)!

Teena's Quilt Shop

On a recent road trip to Pennsylvania, I found an ad for an Amish quilt shop in the local tourist guide. If it weren't for Rachel Ray's tips I never would have picked up the magazine.

P.S. Apparently you're not allowed to take pictures of the Amish, however everything in their shop is okay.

I know I've posted this scarf before, but I took some cool pics of it recently and couldn't resist putting it up again. I knit a few rows a night, so i don't forget how to knit and purl. I suspect it isn't just like getting on a bike.

Inside The Paper Place

Here's another shot of the flowers at the Japanese Paper Place. These are so beautiful. If you want to make one, apparently they are in the current issue of Martha Stewart's WEDDING magazine. The instructions are there, but the paper is different.

More Magnets

Felted Soap

Felted Soap

Another first attempt here, I used a mango scented glycerin soap for this one and some extra roving. When it felts, the wool acts as an exfoliant, and eventually just becomes a wad of wool...maybe a felted ball in the end if I'm careful.

March of the What?

These penguin magnets were made for J3, the colourful skull ones for J1 didn't make it through the mail. Not sure if it was a packaging issue, or a postal problem. But its nothing a little glue won't fix. (Note: I've found some better glue, and hopefully it'll be more child and mail proof.)

Even smaller

split felt ball

I had needle felted this ball months back and just decided to split it to see what was going on inside. This one is only about 3/4 of an inch.

Red Geode

A couple weekends ago I dedicated it to felting, specifically wet felting. This was my first real attempt at making a geode, its only an inch in diametre. If you look closely I didn't go throught the felting process long enough.
