Going Retro
I get a headache just thinking about how I'll lay this sucker out, but its gonna be fun regardless. It's retro baby!
Oh happiness!
I've finally done it, and bought myself a sewing machine. I can't believe it, so why are you looking at another picture of quilting squares? Cuz I don't have a picture of my sewing machine, silly! Hopefully I'll have it next week, I have no idea why it took me four years to finally buy one but today, I bit the bullet and just got it. You should see the thread I've got stashed at my desk at work, back when I was hoarding fabric I won an auction on thread.
These squares will definately make something pretty.

Big bold beautiful flowers
All well and good on a table, but laying this one out is going to be very very interesting. I'm gonna have my work cut out for me, beginner quilting 101. I should really sew a test quilt first before I use my fun fabrics. Kinda like the 7" square I first knitted which is now a coaster for coasters....hmmm, I'll take a pic and post it soon.

Test Pattern
After fooling around with these pieces and coming up with many different arrangements, these are the two I'm fussing over...decisions, decisions...now I need to find something for the back! And a sewing machine!!!
All in the details
Hard to believe I haven't actually made a quilt yet, what am I saying, I don't even own a sewing machine and there is NO WAY I'm doing this all by hand. Here's a closer shot of what you're seeing in the picture to follow.

Rainy day = TV day!
It's 7 degrees celcius and pissin' rain...after a morning of laundry and cleaning, I'm now going to lay out some future quilts, look at my yarn, pick a paint colour for the bedroom wall and watch alot of T L C on and Food Network Canada (see the sidebar for my favourite shows).

Summertime fun
Spring has finally sprung here in Toronto, so why am I talking about summer? Well I have many good intentions to knit again, but right now I'm on a break. Take a look at what I've got to work with (its only about 1/3 of my yarn) the rest is in a three foot storage caddy and behind the futon in bags!

This IS Blythe!
Honestly, I was working when I stumbled across this. You've GOT to check out the links I've got of some of my faves. When I initially saw the first image (during a search for something else....I swear!!!!), I thought to myself "oh how cute" but then I realized when I did a specific search on BLYTHE that ALOT of people take picture of their Blythe dolls. I immediately looked on ebay, and saw that the dolls went for hundreds of dollars...YIKES....anyways...seriously check out the links, I'll be adding more 'cuz I'm now obsessed. Honestly, I don't know whether I still think they're cute or if this is freaky.
